I'm getting a laptop for college soon and i heard Tigerdirect had some great deals. I was also told to try to get an AMD Turion 64 x2 processor so i narrowed it down to that processor too. I have a couple laptops here that i'd like your opinion on. I plan on using this laptop for the obvious paper, powerpoint, and photoshop projects here and there, but i would like an acceptable dvd player as well as a burner, be able to manage my ipod music and movies, and of course i'd like to be able to play the ocasional game here and there. wich laptop would you guys recommend to me out of the ones here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/compare.asp?CatId=1902 i know HP and Gateway are pretty good brands so any input from you guys would be great. thanks
Most of that stuff is a given with laptops these days, it all comes down to what sort of occasional game. Things like old arcade games or online poker will be fine, but if we're talking new off the shelf top titles, it gets a little bit more complex.
