Ok, this may be a stupid question to ask.
I was going to go sli on a new build and i was going to buy 2 pcix 2.0 cards, my question is are the express 2.0 cards backwards compat with 16x slots?

Its a nub question but i never took the time learning my self.. about pci slots I always went 2.0

Don't go SLI, that requires an SLI motherboard, and these are universally poor. If you need a fast card, get an HD4870 or GTX260, or if you want very high performance, a Radeon HD4870X2. This means you only need one PCI express slot, and can get a decent motherboard like a P45 chipset.

It's a case of 'It probably will work, but no guarantees'
