My grandma is currently in a wheelchair, and loves to use the computer whenever she is able to. I’ve seen her use Dragon, which converts what she’s saying into writing in any writing program she uses. Even though it took her a while to get use to the program, she currently has some fun with it because as she commands the computer to open, close, maximize, and minimize different programs. For example, my grandma can say, “Open Windows Media Player” and it opens without a mouse. Now that gives her a great excuse to enjoy being in a wheelchair.
Yeah it sounded pretty cool to me when I first heard about it. All I know is that my grandma uses it all the time, and she likes the way she can see in the upper left hand corner the recognition of what she's saying.
