graphics car or game problem

    sorry if this is in the wrong place i didnt know where to put it im alcohol virtual drives for the game sims 2 nighlife and need for speed underground to and for example on need for speed when your moving through menus or anywhere in the game it jumps its like it pauses then jumps to a further stage and the same on nightlife you will be on one tile it will pause and your 2 or 3 tiles away is this my graphics card going or is it just the games my graphics card is an nvidea geforce fx 5200 graphics card i will type more info if need plz help

    okay... make sure on the hard drive that you installed the game (game's directory) have 1 - 2 gb free space, and dont forget to update your graphic card from here http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

    And one more thing, set all the settings (graphics, screen resolution) to minimum.

    i found it its cos it said geforce and n force sorry

    hi tryed installing the new drivers but it made no difference
    have you any other ideas thnx

    you should have 1 - 2 GB free space on your game directory hard drive.

    Don't [bold]forget[/bold] to reboot your pc after updating your graphic card

    AND try to find the settings in your game GO search for options or games and set graphical settings to minimum! such as screen resolution 800X600 shadows = 0, reflexions = 0...

    i think its working now its just the game resolution that i changed and they work but i dont understand why it would make a difference in sims because the sims 2 by itself was working fine but when i installed night life the normal sims 2 part of the game was fine but it was when i went downtown was the problem but it works now so thanks for your help
