I know that to PC games the graphics card is very important, but my question is for office use (Word, PowerPoint), internet use (browsing and email), and doing a bit of Digital photo handling does the graphics card matter much? Will for example having a Radeon 9600 with 256Mb Ram produce noticable system performance increase over a Radeon 7000 with 64Mb Ram, bearing in mind even 64Mb of RAM is way more than needed to drive even a 21inch display at a useable resolution with full colour depth?

yes as more ram on the card & probably faster video cpu but check out specs on the ati site for a comparison of the 2 cards
