graphics card help

    Alright so im looking into building a pc.(again) and im trying to figure out which graphic card to get. im completly open to every ones opinion.


    the mother board is the XFX nForce 680i LT SLI

    How much have you got to spend? Good value picks nowadays are the HD2600XT, HD3850, HD3870 and the 8800GT. The up and coming HD3870X2 is looking promising too.

    i wanted to go with the 8800 but since i can go sli is it better if i get 2 like 8600 or something along that line and would it be cheaper and better then one 8800?

    You'd certainly be better off getting one fast card like the 8800 rather than two 8600s. A pair of 8600s can not keep up with the 8800GT in most games.

    DVI, all the way. S-Video is limited to standard tv resolution!
