Didn't know where to post this question so i just put it in here hope someone can help...i just recieved my grex video stabilizer in the mail and have no clue on how to hook it up so i can record movies and shows off of cable and ondemand on dvd...can anyone tell me how or list a diagram for me? I went to the grex website and looked at the diagram but still confused on how to hook it up
The cables coming out of your cable box going into the matching ports on the Grex devices "In Ports" and then you hook up the Grex's "Out Ports" to your video capture device.
Hi, just curious how your GREX is working now since the Digital Transition? Does it still do its job? I bought a Toshiba DR570 and first week, I was able to record what I have recorded in my DirecTV DVR, now, I can't. Its giving me an error "E25" and it says "you cannot record this program". (GRRRRR) So, I am very frustrated and getting ready to throw this Toshiba out my window. Is GREX the "only" solution after reading all the threads???
"only" solution to what ? What exactly is the problem you're trying to solve ? Are you talking abut cable box > S-video > video capture card? Is the reason it doesn't work have to do with the cable box generating a Macrovision signal?
Hi, thanks for the reply. Ok, let me be clear with my question. Is Grex the only solution to recording tv shows off from satellite DVR? Thanks in advance for your answer/s.
No it's not the only one. Sima makes a few models. Here's one: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_035CT2/Sima-CT-2-GoDVD.html?tp=1846
