I am having trouble playing an avi movie with bsplayer. When i try to play the file, instead of the movie, its shows about 2 minutes of grey screen. Ive seen other forums saying to install divx 3.11, and ive tried many different times, but bs player doesnt seem to recognize them when i go to preferences - video - divx3.11? any help?

First, look at that AVI using some other application, for instance VirtualDub. Do some different happens?

Just a guess: if you cut the movie in 2 and play the 2nd part, do that '2 mintes of grey sceen' show or not? [look th the length (in frames) with File__File Information; set Video__Direct Stream Copy; do Video__Select Range F/2 - end and Save (F7)]

Yes, I tried opening it with different media players and I also just tried virtualdub. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the divx 3.11 codec, but i cant seem to get bs player to recognize it. Once it does, i can change the video properties (hue, saturation, contrast, brightness), all which are set at 0 when they should be at 50.
