Grudge 2 (Unrated)

Had no problem with Grudge 2 using ripit4me and DVD Decryptor. Did the movie only and plays fine. Took me only 30 minutes and have already watched it. AnyDVD and Shrink alone did not work. PacMan777 gave great advice for Saw 3 and knew it would work for the Grudge 2!! He is my hero!!

 

Backed up Grudge 2 with Dvd platinum 3 without a flaw!! I love this program. i gotta give it to fab....they are on their game. if you don't mind paying the $50.00 it's definetly worth the money. their are lots of dvd programs out there but fab is one of the few that does what it say's every time!!

 

Great.......CloneDVD2 did it perfect.....

 

The latest version of RI4M locked up at around 10%. Used DVDFab Decrypter and it works fine.

 

Used DVDFAB 3.0.7.2 and Shrink and it worked fine!

 

I used anydvd ripper then Shrink, seems to be working. I had to manually copy over the VideoTS VOB file, but I think that was because I had remove unreferenced and blank cells checked in ripper. Let ya know when it is finished.

 

As usual both DVDFab Decrypter 3075 and RipIt4Me 1680 ripped THE GRUDGE 2 (UNRATED) flawlessly. It is true that THE GRUDGE 2 (UNRATED) has the latest protections from Sony, but it simply is just another piece of cake.


Here's a basic DVDFab guide


Now insert THE GRUDGE 2 (UNRATED) or your original DVD into burner.











Source: where the original DVD is located
Target: where DVDFab is going to import the finished (ripped files VOB, IFO and BUP under VIDEO_TS folder) once it's completed.


























Click Finish and EXIT out.






Hmmm... I don't really like the Video Quality ratio and there are a lot of compressions needed (41.1%) here. Time for me to lanch VobBlanker 2130B5.






Same thing with DVD Shrink -- again, I really need VobBlanker to blank/delete them useless tiny vts, Previews, FBI Warnings and all them junks.






NOTE: This is a modified version only, meaning I've used Vobblanker to edit, delete and blank out all unwanted/unnecessary junks already.











And presto... within less than 5 minutes VobBlanker is done processing, deleting and blanking.






Awesome!! no compressions needed, no transcoding needed, all I need is fire up Nero Express or Nero Burning Rom and burn this straight now.

Easy for who? If I have to jump through all those hoops I'll just skip the movie entirely. Simple question. Why hasn't ANYDVD allowed me to use Shrink? I thought that's what I paid for.

 

it seems to have worked.....
I actually forgot to put my blank in so I had to burn from nero but it is playing on my PC. I will check on my dvd player when my kids are gone.

I ripped it into a folder using AnyDVD Ripper
Opened DvD Shrink and had it use files on the hard drive(took a long time)
Then had to use nero to burn cuz I forgot to put the blank in. there were 2 errors before it started burning in nero but I ignored them and it still workid.

 

Hello all, New here, but I've been reading your tips for a while now.

I use a program called MADZ for converting straight from DVD to IPOD .MP4

For Grudge 2 I used Ripit4me and Fix VTS and that made a copy just fine, but MADZ would not read it, so I replaced the VTS_01_0 info file and VTS_01_0.BUP file that was left in the Video_YS file that it dropped the file in with the origionals that were left in the "OriginalIFOs" folder and it worked just fine.

It took me a good long time to figure this trick out but finally worked until I oped the output file and found that it was looping the fist 6 minutes over and over stuck again, cannot get more than 9 minutes of the movie in the file format that I want.

...and yes, I do watch movies on my IPOD, I know I'm strange, so?

 

Grudge 2 was a tough one. I finally got it though. I had to use AnyDVD 6.1.1.4/ Ripit4me with FixVTS, DVDdecrypter, and then shrink. What a pain. I had to do this for The Guardian and Saw 3 as well. Looks like these are getting tougher.

Hello I riped Grudge 2 last night with anyDVD 6.1.1.4 and clone dvd2 2.9.0.3 and worked fine. the first time I tried it tried to repair some files but a quit it dit hollywoodland and the flag of our fathers and tried bac Grudge 2 and went perfect all the way.

 

I tried Alcohol's version of DVD Fab (latest beta version) and shrink and it errored on me. I am using VobBlanker now and then I am going to try to shrink again. If that does not work, I do not know what to do from here.

 

Finally got it to work right with:

AnyDVD
Ripit4me
FixVTS
DVD Decryptor
DVD Shrink
and finally MADZ for the .MP4 conversion.


and yes it took all of them to get MADZ to read the darn thing right.

 

I can only get this to 50.4 compression.

Here is what I did - following Alkohol's method to a "T".

Ran it through DVDFab Decryp. - (exited out of ANYDVD which was my mistake in the first place).

Then looked at the files in DVD Shrink - they told me 50.4%.

Went to VobBlanker and tried to run the modified files through there to get the 100% like Alkohol showed in a previous post but it gave me the same thing - 50.4%.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
