Hello, I have a xbox loaded with slayers evox +3921.
I can load all other games fine. DVD, and HD.

I have a retail copy of GTA San Andreas "Platinum Hits" NTSC, I try booting this game, it makes it to the intro, shows rockstar logo, music, then it says "Press start to continue". I press start, and it just locks the dvd up, and eventually says the disc is dirty or damaged. (This is a brand new copy, i have tested it in another xbox, works fine.)

I put a copy of San Andreas on the HD, load it, it loads to the exact same spot, and freezs.

I have searched the fourms and found to disable TSR, and IGR, done all those variations, dosn't make a difference other than maybe it won't load at all, and goes back to the evoX screen.
I have cleared the cache all folders, z/x/y, and emptied the cache in E.
I removed any save files from MS dashboard, there currently is no save blocks, I am kinda lost as what to do next.

Any help would be appreciated to get the game to load. Thanks.

I had the same problem with the same game. It turned out it was the disk, which was resolved by exchanging it. Worked fine afterwards.

nubE1 that's only for modding with the exploits because the game save directory is different.

A modded xbox will play any xbox game you put in it.

Your DVD drive maybe bad? Swap out the disk just incase and try to copy it to the HD and play it.
