Hi. I'm not really new to PSP homebrew and managing files and such but this has got me completely stumped..

I'm running 3.03OE-C on my PSP..
I've read all over the place that with this you can play full screen 480x272 movies and stuff, so I downloaded a movie recently (Cowboy Bebop if that helps which I know it wont).

Anyways I used PSPVideo9, and set the settings to 3.30+ 480x272 @ 768Kbps / 128Kbps Stereo (3.30+ 'cause I thought this just meant whether that resolution was compatible or not, and the fact there's no other 480x272 options available under 3.30)

It converted after a long 4 hour wait >_<

The filename was MAQ20005.mp4 with the .thm with it too.
I used the PSPVideo9 to paste these files into the 100ANV01 folder in MP_ROOT etc.

Then I start the PSP up and go to Video and I see the option for my video, which for some reason is named " - " which I thought to be quite strange... Anyways I try to play it and it says "This video cannot be played." So after an hour or two searching for people with the same problem or even a solution I had to come here. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated on helping me get this damn file to work.

Also, the video plays fine through quicktime 7.2.1 or whatever the latest version is.

    Thanks!~

Can this convert mkv files with multiaudio multisubs to mp4 with 1 audio from the mkv and 1 subtitle from the mkv? I know they will be hardcoded on the mp4 format.

Ok i have finish encoding but at the last part where you say...."Transfer your file to "?:\MP_ROOT\101ANV01" and make sure its named with the number 10001 on the end, then 10002, 10003, etc." What do i do at this part now? i change the THM files or something can someone explain to me what to do? im at the final part and i want to watch some of my videos.

Heres a screenshot, i put it in MP_ROOT\101ANV01

    I'm getting frustrated here.

I downloaded several converters including Super, though I haven't tried the guide to Super just yet (it looked too complicated until I read the guide). I HAVE tried converting the file with a couple of programs including a fairly nice one I downloaded a couple of days ago called Moyea DVD Ripper.

I chose PSP (MP4) as the output file and everything seems to convert, but when I transfer it to the PSP -- with the proper file name and in the proper directory, I get "unsupported file type."

However, if I play the .mp4 file in Real Player or other players, it plays fine.

Any program I've used so far results in an unsupported file type. Why is this?

I was having a problem converting to H264/AVC.

UPDATE I found my problem, the sampling frequency must be 48000, nothing else will work, the other settings can be changed but not the sampling frequency. From what I can tell, DirectShow Decode does nothing except add a few bytes to the file size.

    This works:

How do I convert Video on the PSP Slim. I had no issues using the old PSP....But I have tried all the old methods. I either get an unsupported format message or I get a 'video cannot be played back" message.

Oh. I have tried it in both the Video folder and the the ANV folder as well.

    Any Ideas??????

Their website is garbage. Try the link in both Firefox and IE.
    http://www.erightsoft.info/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe

Right now it's working for me in IE but not Firefox.
