plus for the people that don't know crap and that don't want to learn anything. [bold]WE ARE JUST MESSING WITH YOUR MINDS[/bold].
LOL nah, Ravenlife made this because there are people that have ripped dvds but cant put on an thumbnail. yes there is Video 9 and it will make an thumbnail, but there are people that want to do the most difficult thing as well.

yeh i even found a free one that works well

its called picturegirdle or photogirdle or something (google it if you dont want the trial)

[bold] *EDIT* [/bold] Here's the guide

    Here is what you need
    PictureGirdle - http://downloads.zdnet.co.uk/0,39025602,39156291s,00.htm – it’s free
A picture of the film/music video – just browse Google for the picture – I’m using Spiderman 2 for this example

    1. Extract PictureGirdle and Open it up (the best thing about this program is that there is no need to install it

    2. Click on open and browse for your picture

    3. To resize the photo type in 160 in the X box – and 120 in the Y box

    4. Click on resample and save (it will name it the same as your original file but with a underscore _ at the end)

    5. make sure you have turned off the hide extensions in the settings tool box

    6. Now go and rename your picture (make sure it’s the same name as your video M4Vxxxxxx) and rename the extension to .THM

    7. Copy the thumb (and your video if you haven’t) over to your psp

x://MP_ROOT/100MNV01/ (x being your removable drive)

    8. Switch on your psp and enjoy your custom thumbs

    Hope you find this helpful

Hey Raven, just had a quick question. Like that other guy, I downloaded this video from Google Video already in MP4 format for the PSP. Only thing is, unlike PSP Video 9, this one doesn't automatically make the THM file. I was trying to find a way to make one, and I stumbled upon ur method. I downloaded Picturegirdle, resized as 160x120, saved as a PNG file, renamed it with .THM at the end, and it changed into a THM file. I renamed it exactly the same as the video, put both in the correct folder, but when I look for the video on my psp, it says " Unsupported Data" with a big question mark. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Also just one more thing to add, when I resize it to 160x120, it says the size is almost the same as the original, which was 58k. But I saw ur example picture that the Spiderman pic was resized to only 5k. Was just wondering how that happened.

Make sure the box is not checked in picture girdle, also make sure u put the right figures in the right boxes: X 160 Y 120.

What bitrate is the movie encoded with? Anything over 768kbps the psp wont play it.

Is it in the right folder? Files with MAQxxxxx.MP4 go to 100ANV01.
Files with M4Vxxxxx.MP4 go to 100MNV01

Yea man I know its in the right folder. I put the right numbers in X and Y. What box are you talking about in Picture Girdle?

How do i find out the bitrate of the movie?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Also a weird thing is, when I resize it to 160x120 in Picture Girdle, the size of the picture increases, almost always to 57 or 58kb's. It doesn't reduce to like 5 or 6kb. The rest of my THM files for the rest of my movies are that small. Not sure if that's relevant or not.

Only thing is, it resamples right, but I when I press the button again to save it, some error occurs, and I have to press " Continue" and it automatically saves it itself, and it just renames the picture with
.png" at the end, and then I just rename it to M4Vxxxxx.

Bit off topic here mate, why are u converting in MPEG SP (M4V)?
Convert in MPEG AVC (MAQ) much better picture with smaller file sizes. Click the PSPvideo9 and DVD Decrypter guide in my sig for more info, and how to do it.

Bring up the PSP folder with the film in it, delete the thumbnail, drop your custom nail in and rename it to that of the movie!

    EG: MAQ10001.MP4 MAQ10001.THM
