just backup your memstick then format it,that should give you the folders you need or you can put the needed folders in PSP yourself

 

rhinogolf: i'd say its pretty damn good......got it at a fairly cheap price at the time too and so far nothings messed up on me apart from trying to update, which is why i keep my 1GB card around. Although, the storage does come up to about 7.5GB not something im really bothered about. I wasn't aware there were any problems with it anyway, and overall id give it a 9/10

 

I have used despertar_cementerio version 3 on a PSP Slim 3.71, its said install ok press x to shutdown the psp. Than i replaced the pandora battery for a normal one, then turn on the psp slim with 3.71 M33 firmware, it doesn't show the menu anymore ony the XMB background with the date/time and then it shuts down!

What can i do to fix this??

 

OK i figured it out, you must just format FLASH1 in Recovery Mode!

 

help anyone. i'm a complete newbie here and dont know what to do with the firmware and other software installs for the psp slim. i guide will be a big help. please sicdude help me.

 

Hi everyone
I have a fat psp w/3.52m33-4
I want to upgrade to 3.71m33-1 first and go up to 3.71m33-3
But when I extract the update.pbp aka 371.bpb to the Game folder it doesn't show up at all under game on the screen. Says : There are no games. Even though I made sure it was on 3.52 kenel.
I tried putting the 371.pbp into the Game150 and Game352 but with no luck ether. Did I miss a step?
Please help.

 

are u sure its 371.PBP already??or u can juz try rename it to 371 only...

 

Okay excuse mefor being old and dense but I have some questions that I have probably been answered upteenth amount of times already.
Itws been a while since I've looked at my psp and I see Dark Alex is back. I am still on 3.40oe-a.
Now if I read the instructions right I have to upgrade to 3.52 then to install th eupdates to 3.71 m33 right.
Now I still want to play mostly my old ps1 games on here and a handful of new ones as they come out.
I can still play ps1 games no problem right?
what other benfits to upload all the way.
why should I use this popsloader that I keep reading about with the 3.71 but no explanation as to why I need it.
aAnd wwhat is this 1.50 kernel? Is that to play homebrew like the nes/snes/genesis emulators? can i not play anything without it installed.

Ok, i have downgraded to 1.5 well.

updated to 3.52, all went well, but when it finished and goes back to the XMB

i check in system setting and it seems i am still on version 1.5

Whats wrong?

yeh i already did lol, just thought that it never said anywhere that the psp was meant to shut down.

Kernal is 3.52

When i copy the UPDATE file into my GAME folder.

UPDATE folder contains 371.PBP

When I access memory stick on XMB it is corrupted data

you need the universal unbricker v3 memstick with a pandora battery,there are plenty of guides here to help you

@mitcharr have you also got the 3.71m33 file in there?
