Guide: How To Burn XBox360 Games

hi all.

Im new to this xbox360 modding scene. I have just purchased a 2nd hand 360 with samsung MS25 drive. I have flashed it Iextreme 1.4. First question, is this drive now stealthed ? or do I need to do anything else to it ?

2nd question, I have a kreon drive in my PC and a Lite on DVDRW DL which supports bitsetting. When I bought the kreon drive I was told to use XBC (xbox backup creator) to back up my disks. When I back them up I always verify them and it always says verification sucessful. Does this make my copies stealth ? Or would I be better off using your tutorials on this site ?

do i alwayd have to set booktype before burning my game? ,

when i have a bunch of rar files i dont have to use ss merger rite?

whenever i try to download dvdxmulleter the program does not open i get a error message from winrar?

 

if i had to booktype using imgburn, once i save the options, i dont have to booktype each time all i would have to do is burn ?

i need help i have backed up over 25 of my xbox360 games including grand theft auto 4 and yet evr since my father in law installed a new anti virus on my pc i cant burn a thing ive wasted 6 dvd dl . i use schtrom extract which still extracts at 100% and i burn with image burn i checked the layer break and it is fine. do you think it has something to do with the anti virus? please help.

 

i had a bunch of rar files all i did was extract them, do i have to booktype this before i burn, and which file do i burn because when i choose the iso file, i get the message "you should of selected the dvd file and not this one"

 

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me, I am trying to burn a game, and in the ss merger 1.6 program, when I try to input the ss file, the fields turn red, which in the guide indicates that I do not have the correct file. I got the file from one of the links in this thread, the first link you have to be a posting member in good standing to get the files, but from the other link I tried both the PAL and the NTSC versions, and neither worked. Any help that someone could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

use xdvdmulleter and have it download and insert it automatically....if you search the forums I think there might be a tut on how to do it...then burn the iso.

 

Thanks for the help, I found the tut for mulleter, but really all I learned to do from it was check the region code. So Im still not sure what I am needing to do at this point to burn, and now this leads me to another question, will my north american xbox play PAL region games, or will it only play NTSC? I knew I shouldn't have bought that dang game when I was in australia!

 

download imgburn, open the .dvd file w/ it and burn....the 360 is region locked, so pal games won't play on an ntsc console UNLESS the game is region free

Isn't flashing your 360 damages the console?

 

well, it's just like anything, there's a risk involved....just make sure u know what u need to do before doing it.

 

I am using imgburn to try and make a copy of an xbox 360 game that I downloaded. I wanted to know if it matters if I use the .iso or if I use .dvd file? I had read somewhere that if you use the .iso that this is a quick way of being banned from online. So your suppose to use the .dvd file. Any truth to this cause some of my game s don't have a .dvd file and I don't want to be banned from xbox live

Regardless, you will want to burn the .dvd file. I am assuming you already know that the game is stealth patched and you checked it? But when it comes to which file to burn, burn the .dvd file. You need to brun it by the .dvd file, or create one because it will set the layer break for the game.

Also, I guess you could always manually set the layerbreak if you were using imgburn or so.

 

Ok so I've read through many tuts and I have managed to successfully get a .ISO onto my comp using hotswap method. However one thing I still can't figure out is where to get the SS.bin files. I mean I saw ways of doing it with a Samsung drive by taking apart ones 360 but I don't wanna do that. Anyone know of another way I can get the SS.bins of my games. Honestly I don't even know what it is but apparently I need them when using ssmerger.

I have an LG DVDrw DL and a Pioneer 110D DVDrw DL

If I were to use clone cd and burn the .iso would it work. I read that I needed the SS.bins but I don't know of any other ways to get it. I am so confused please someone help.

O and yes my 360 is modded and no I can't dload them from the internet due to download limitations (sux I know)
