    Hi,

I have followed your guide, and my speed is currently stuck at around 40kB/s. I have a 10Mbit connection, and http://www.dslzoneuk.net/ gave me the following results:

    7654 Kbps
    which is around 956.79 KB/s
    including overheads

I'm not sure what to put for my settings. Currently, I have:

    Global Maximum Upload Speed: 78
    Global Maximum Download Speed: 100
Global Max number of Connections: 450
    Max peers per torrent: 200
    Upload slots: 127

I've enabled protocol encryption and whatnot, and I am running through a WRT54G Linksys router (which has been forwarded). Any ideas on how I can improve my speed?

Usually anime, but the files vary from around 200meg upto 4gb or so. I use private trackers where possible, but otherwise I use public areas, like torrentz.com

On everything. I mean, sometimes I get a really good Seeder:peer ratio, so it does sometimes go up to 100kb/s or so. But my connection speed is only a little slower than yours, so shouldn't I be getting a similar speed?

Mwahahahahahh, okay, thanks for all the help. I hit 2.5MB on my first private tracker download. Yay! It's really easy to get in to some.

Mwahahahahahh, okay, thanks for all the help. I hit 2.5MB on my first private tracker download (makes a nice change from the usual 40-55KB I got before). Yay! It's really easy to get in to some private trackers, just be persistent.

P.S Tell me if you beat this speed!

What if your upload speed (80-100 kB's) is faster than your download speed (26-40 kB's)

I'd like to know the same - my upload speed is usually much higher than my download speed...

I'm trying to forward a port for my Linksys WRT54G router so that uTorrent isn't restricted. I have followed the portforward.com guide to the letter, yet it is still saying that the port is not open, and my speed is still restricted, by the look of things. I'm on a 10mbit connection, yet I'm getting horrible speeds, most of the time. I have set up a static IP but...
