    @crazybrad
    Get the fat if you can - it will work in the slim and fat whereas the slim only works in the slim. That way if someone has a fat you can use it on theirs also.

    @ecorder
    The rips would more then likely be iso's or cso's so you would just put them in the isp folder to play them.

    edit to add: check out pspiso.com

    There is a new version out. 3.90 m33
    I ran the universal unbricker then updated to 3.80 then to 3.90 with 1.50 kernel.
    Once updated my game tomb raider would not run. I ran the unbricker and only upgraded to 3.80m33 but it is still the same. Its only the one game which did work before on 3.80m33. Any ideas?
    Ive tried deleting the game and putting it on the mem stick again and even changing iso mode drivers and kernel folders to no avail.

    anyone had the same issues? anyone else upgraded to 3.90?

    When i say the game doesnt work it loads up, then on the intro screen it freezes and plays the same few seconds in a loop again and again

    It works on ANY official firmware for ANY model PSP.

    Oh, and I have upgraded to 3.90 M33, and it's worked fine so far, no different from 3.80 M33-5, that I've seen, but I don't have the game you're having trouble with, so I can't tell you anything there. :(

    @EMMAX
    When you connect the psp to the pc by usb mode you will usually get the windows explorer pop up asking what you want windows to do.
    At the top it will say 'Removable Disk (E)' What's in parenthesis is the drive letter. In this case it's E.

    Or double click on my computer and look under 'Devices With Removable Storage' and find one that has 'removable disc' - double click on it to makes sure it's the psp - it will bring up the folders on the memory stick.

    Not a problem EMMAX
    Are you now able to connect the psp by usb to the pc?

    Dumb question but have you tried just using the ac adapter to power on the psp?

    cay anyone help me i fully bricked my psp slim. I dont think i made a working magic mem stick gonna go to my friends house to creat kuz he still has a working phat psp. Also can anyone plz give me a step by step tut on doing this or give me a link that does. Im really desperate and scared that i wont be able to fix this problem.
    Thanks and really appreciate the work you guys do here.

    Problem that occured.
    Formatted mem stick (not properly formatted dont think)
    Put in Datel Tool Battery
    Got to the screen where it loads after this step

    Just place the Magic Memory Stick in the PSP and then place the Datel Tool/Hardmodded Battery into the PSP and a menu should come up. X will install 3.71 M33-2 to the PSP and O will install 3.71 official firmware to the PSP.

    After it has finished installing the files you can then turn off the PSP and replace the Battery with the normal 1.

    Did that then only green light turns on with normal battery and shuts off in about a minute. I am done or is there hope lol pls help.

    I absolutely love the mux app on the magic stick. makes things so much easier.
    I notice the last 2 update folders are left blank.
    How can I add 3.90 to this app? Should I just drag the corresponding files into the update folder?
    My 3.90m33 folder has a few files, which ones should i put in there?

    No it still will not connect,so ive ordered a usb memory card reader that should be here some time this week.
    yeah ive tried that. my son said he took it to school and borrowed his mates game and that was it.the screen went completely blank and the green light came on for about 15 secs and then goes straight off. so my othwer half followed a guide to back a pandora battery by removing the fifth pin. just got to wait now for reader to download the files and see what happens, if i cant get it to work then looks like i`ll end up getting him a new one.

    Hi there, thanks for the great guide. I had a Slim PSP with 3.71. I then used the guide and software to change the FW to 3.71 M33-4. Can you please tell me if I am ok to format the memory card now? and please give me some advice on how to play ISO's on it now.
    Cheers

    Yes, you can format the card. All you have to do to play ISOs and CSOs is to put them in the ms0:/ISO/ directory on your memory card (it will automatically be made when you format it).

    Yes, you can, you can also still carry on using it as a regular memory stick without formatting it.

    Yes, you can, and you can either reformat it, or keep the files on there. The "trigger" for that special bootup is a combination of the Pandora battery and the software/bootloader. If you are using a normal battery, it will ignore the special boot software and load normally.
