Hey guys. I bought my mom a PSP for x-mas with the thoughts I could use UPMS to downgrade it and install custom firmware (she plays old school nintendo when she travels). So I go through the steps just fine on emerald version, make a pandora batter, but when i insert the mem stick on the slim psp, hold L trigger, and put in the pandora battery nothing happens... it just sits there with the green battery light on, the ms light never flashes nor does the screen. I know how to read directions i've tried making the MS three times and it just doesn't work, what am i doing wrong?

No probs m8, glad it all helped.
    Did you get your Slim?

    paulchoy
Have you done the slim boot method of putting the power switch to the hold position (all the way down) then holding the left trigger and inserting the battery.
You then wait for the Slim to shutdown, push power switch back to normal removing battery, holding left trigger then inserting battery again?

Hi Ady, it's def to do with your IDStorage Keys being the wrong keys for that PSP. Hopefully in the near future there will be an IDStorage regenerator.

Try re-downloading your PBP files from Here

Then make sure you have placed them directly in the root of your MS. Meaning if X:\ is your PSP under windows then Place these files directly in X:\ Do not place them in any folders.

Also make sure you name them exactly 150.PBP and 371.PBP with the extensions in caps.

Last but not least if those fail run Blackspeed on your MS to see if it's fake. If so this could be the problem.

Just trying to throw out all ideas as I don't make it here much anymore.

Hi had the same problem, when you load it up first time i had to use the hold button as described in an earlier post on this thread and then it worked fine.

try this is does work i've done two 3.71 slims (only used the hold on first attempt second time it loaded straight up, weird......

That is how it is supposed to act. If DCV3 is not the active folder you must use the hold button to activate it before using ULoader.

This is the correct way to boot a Slim when using UPMS.
I have tried to make it as clear as possible. Please let me know if there is something that is unclear.

    If DCv3 is active:
With PSP off and battery removed,

    1) Hold Left Trigger
    2) Insert your Pandora battery, Ultimate Loader will boot.
NOTE: If you have the power switch in the Hold position (down) and insert Pandora's battery while holding Left Trigger it will boot directly to DCv3, but don't forget to put hold switch back to normal otherwise your button presses will not work.

If you have either Hellcat, Joker, or are unsure which folder is active:
With PSP off and battery removed,

    1) Push power switch down to Hold.
    2) Hold Left trigger
    3) Insert Pandora's battery, The slim will boot then turn off.
    4) Remove Pandora's battery
    5) Put power switch back to normal (turn hold off)
    6) Hold left trigger
    7) Insert Pandora's battery, this will now display the Ultimate Loader menu. From here you can launch DCv3.

MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR NAND.

    Hope this helps you folks.
