Confirmed that UPMS works to downgrade 3.80 on fat psp, as well as slim psp's with 3.80 fw...I used it on a slim the other day that I had previously "enhanced" for someone, and they managed to use the Network Update function and it updated to official 3.80 from 3.71M33-2...(whoops!)

A word of warning to those with slim psp's running custom firmware-DO NOT USE THE NETWORK UPDATE FUNCTION IN THE XMB-It will update your psp to official firmware...

how do I make this work on a slim!
I tried using it w/ the Phat and the menu shows up!
But it doesn't work w/ the slim!
Even if I hold the L button on it!
Am I missing a step or something?
I already have the pandora phat batteries!
    Any ideas?

try popping the battery and memory stick into your fat psp and setting the active folder to the DCv3 option..otherwise try following these steps as directed by ovrfiendx a few posts up.

If you have either Hellcat, Joker, or are unsure which folder is active:
With PSP off and battery removed,

    1) Push power switch down to Hold.
    2) Hold Left trigger
    3) Insert Pandora's battery, The slim will boot then turn off.
    4) Remove Pandora's battery
    5) Put power switch back to normal (turn hold off)
    6) Hold left trigger
    7) Insert Pandora's battery, this will now display the Ultimate Loader menu. From here you can launch DCv3

@kewljohn-only way to downgrade from 3.72 is pandora battery and memory stick...There are no game expolits you can use at this time.

    Hi,

I've recently just bought a psp slim. I tried installing UPMS into my memory stix. And i realised later on that I missed out on this 2 steps.

4>Copy the 1.50 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 150.PBP
5>Copy the 3.71 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 371.PBP

and then I continued onto step 6 and step 7.

At step 7 we're told to follow by order the following steps.

Step#1-Select the 'sleep fix Multi-IPL' option
Step#2-Backup your eeprom, then create Your battery
Step#3-Install UPMS with utilities (slowest)-It may take a while-Please be patient. (This will install the extras from step #4)
Step#4-Skip this step if you used the 'full version' installer and selected 'Install UPMS w/ utilities from step

I did step 1 and step 2 and everything went fine. Its only till step 3 when I am unable to install UPMS (they said that i will need the 1.50 and 3.71 update)then i realise i missed out that step.
However, now I cannot even turn on my psp. The green light appears when I turn power on but then the screen remains black. It is because I converted my battery to pandora but then my memory stix is still not the magic stix? pls advise. Thanks

    Cheers,
    xxpinkxx

@xxxpinkXXX De-nutz will provide a better solution than i could, but i can tell you that you are right. Your MMS is not created or is created wrongly. It is something to do with the mutli ipl, although i am not exactly sure why.

My battery if used with another card does exactly the same, not a problem for me as i have a spare. If you have got another battery, re-do the MS with uPMS carrying out all the steps but missing step#2 (Creating Pandora as you already have one).

I would recommend starting from the beginning-It sounds like your files are not in order..Just make sure you have those eboots (150.PBP, and 371.PBP) in the root of your memory stick prior to running the UPMS installer...Also, you can select 'Boosters Multi-IPL' from step #1 in the installer if you so choose.

As far as your psp not turning on-you can remove the battery that you converted, and just plug in the charger so you can power up your psp to run the installer again...

    Hope that helps...

Yup do as dEEz has stated use your charger to boot. The problem is the firmware files are not on the MS. So when the PSP looks there because the IPL directed it to look for flash0 on the MS (this is how Pandora works)it can't find them and so fourth can not bootup.

Problem is that only a few 4GB work, its recommeneded to go for a 256MB to 1GB, but try it, not guaranteed to work.

4gig stick's work fine bro as long as it's genuine and not fake. All fake sticks may cause problems no matter the size. There are two progs on our official forums that help identify and fix fake sticks to work with any form of Pandora. Check my sig for links.

You must be on CFW already. If you are on 3.52-4 M33 just hit the home button and change the UMD mode there, if on 3.71 M33 just hit the select button then change the UMD mode, if on older CFW do as stated before by holding the R trigger.

You need to remove your battery and reinsert it after reverting it back to normal. Basically until you do so the Pandora IPL will still be loaded and it will try to boot to a service mode, but the battery is now normal and can not.

    Hello everybody,

It says it will work pretty fine with the slim psp. So here is my situation and question.
I am making my memory stick and battery right now in this process using still mine, psp phat, since it's sold :). When I use both memo and battery in my Slim psp which programs exactly do I have to use from the options menu? Since there are many. There are so many things there that confuse me :) and I am not that expert on it. All I need is a slim psp with a 3.71M33 that'all. I don't want to convert my battery into normal. that's all. Can some one help me?

Make sure you follow the booting instructions for a Slim. Then the only options will be Tools Menu and Despertar Cementerio v3. Choose DCv3, then hit [] to backup your nand first. Then run DCv3 again and hit x to upgrade.
