Hi, I signed up to this site purely because of this thread - and my evil WiFIMAX!

Like everyone else here, I'm having problems setting up a connection. I have a Voyager 105 USB modem and have a DSL Max conenction which averages at 7.6mb - I'm one of the lucky ones I guess. :)

Anyways, I followed the instructions to the letter, but I get nothing. I was simply told that there was no signal and it wasn't connected.

I have since p;layed round with every setting I could possibly find, and I eventually found that if I turn off Windows firewall, my DS will find the connection - and when it does I am told the conenction is excellent by the computer - but then it tests the conenction, and I am told:

    Error Code: 52000
Unable to obtain an IP address. Move within range of an access point or check DHCP settings. For help, visit www.nintendowifi.com.

I've checked DHCP and that is enabled so that isn't the problem. I've checked out nintendowifi.com and that's useless, so all i'm left with is the IP. Anyone know how to fix it?

I've actually created threads about this on a few other forums I know of, and have been told in one of them that I need a wireless router - is this true? I bought this Dongle specifically because I didn't want to fork out 40 quid - 17 quid for a Dongle sounded better! :p

The instructions don't mention anything at all about needing a router, so if you need one i'm gonna write a nasty letter to the company that made the Dongle for lying to me.

    Thanks for your help, guys!

Hello i just got this wifi max and i sat here and read this whole forum and i can not seem to get it to work i use a netgear router that is not wireless and also a highspeed internet "COMCAST" when i go to network places and then right click , properties , advanced , under internet connection sharing i go and click allow other network users to connect throught this computers internet connection.... it says an error ocurred while internet connection sharing was being enabled

Internet connection sharing cannot be enabled.
A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address
that is required for automatic IP addressing

im thinking it is doing this due to the router i have tryed getting this to work at my friends house and it worked with out even fixing anything but he has no router i just pluged in the WIFI MAX and made the connection on the PSP it was that easy but at my house with the router i can not seem to get this to work please help me out here thatnks

Okay, quoted from my own thread:

Okay, so I never realized how many problems people were having with this device until I started having my own. I got it in the mail today and I've been trying to install it on my old crapbox computer, but it refuses to do so. I'm running 98SE which is supposed to be compatible. The problems comes when I try to install the drivers. The drivers are there, but it says that it's missing the file:" ZD11BU98.sys" is can't be found. The program included on the disc called ZDWLAN won't even open. It opens and closes right back out. Any help would be much appreciated. When I look at the devices profile under the control panel, it says that the device is already installed, but has "a problem". I can't get the driver to fully install. Please help because I'm pretty much at a loss.

guys i have a solution i found this out a while ago but the solution is sooo simple all you have to do is on your psp go to settings-system settings-restore default settings. this should allow you to use the dongle to access the web and play online games.

Hi, I brought the wifi maz form ebay, after tinkering at it, got it to work for 5 minutes, then got ip time out, I gave up on it until i saw a tutorial on youtube, so I thought I have a crack at it, After a couple of hours, reading various insrtuctions, it worked, it fusking worked, couldn;t belive it, i think the problem for me was that i had firewall on my psp wifi connection so no signal was going out, turned it off, enabled sharing and PSP internet worked, it rules, I wnt downstairs and the internet worked, downloaded wallpaper of googles and videos like family guy, full episodes on dailymtion, INTERENT RULES, Thanks to everyone who contributed to various tutorials.

first of all, im a real newbie at this sort of stuff, so bear with me, i have purchased one of these wifi max's and am having problems. I have connected the wifi max to the pc and have installed the software that came with it, no luck to connect to it. I have also shared my internet connection, but still no luck. in my network connections i have a wireless network connection, it says"not connected". I have heard about ZDlan and everythin and do not know what they are, i have a broadband connection with a motorola modem, are there any suggestions you can help me with, please.

for the people that are still having problems try this out.
    1) go to your zydas main page screen then make sure its set to access point. Then go to more settings. Then set the bridge adapter to the one you use to connect to the internet with.
    2) go to your all network connections and locate the following, the wifi max adapter and the one you use to connect to the internet.
    3) highlight both of them and only those 2 then right click one of them and choose bridge connect.
    4) sign on and play

Hey, this might be a stupid question but is there a way of conecting your nintendo DS with the PSP Wifi Max because it has that option on the installation CD.

Sorry if this has all ready been answered, i apologize ahead of time if it has but i really need to figure this out, ive been messing with it for almost 6 days now.

I am having a problem with my WiFi Link(Mayflash made)

My playstation 3 picks up my WiFi Link thats in my USB of my PC but i cant get around this 80710102 DNS Error

Because if auto select everything it wont find my IP and time out and if i manually do it then it DOES find my IP but gives me that DNS error about couldnt communicate with the server.

I'm not sure how to get around this and havent found anyone that knows either :(

This post is wayyyyyyy over due. After about a year now by accident kinda i managed to make my wifi max work with my psp and ps3. its not the fastest but online play is pretty good.

The main problem i was having was the ip adress thing. I worked out that the zydas software was not bridging and i could not make it bridge the connections either.

    Here's how to solve it.

    plug in the dongle
    go to network connections.
find the your internet connection within there on open properties.
Zydas should be running at this point, will not work otherwise.

    now the important bit.
on your internet connection go to the advance tab and select allow all user and tick all the boxes.
then under home network connection select the wifimax connection that is set up on your pc, it should now work.

Note this method can also allow ps3 users to connect to the internet without wifimax via their pc by doing the same but selecting the etherenet port.

please reply if this worked. i don;t think i explained it very well.
