Guides/Tutorials for Encoding MP4 video files to MPEG?

    I have an MP4 video file that I want to convert to MPEG. Is there a program that I can easily do this with or at least a guide? Anything I've seen so far is on ripping DVDs and that's not what I'm looking for.

    What's your exact purpose? Just convert the MP4 video to *.mpeg file? Or convert it to DVD format and then burn it on a DVD?

    try AVS Video Converter

    The program is very simple.
    - insall and run it
    - open an MP4 file or files, click "To MPEG"
    - click "Convert Now"

    that's all
