Guitar Hero Metallica with controller?

    Can this game be played without the guitar? They have it on sale at gamestop without a guitar since it's used. I was going to buy it, test it make sure I like it before I spent a ton on a guitar, etc. Thanks.

    Can all you do is sing with the controller? Was hoping I could do the guitar on the controller.

    Damn you can? I got my wife to learn guitar with a guitar after GH3. Well when RB2 came out she finally broke down and did it. Then GH WT doesn't allow it, but Metallica does?
    Weird, but I won't go to a controller with Metallica. It's bad karma lol.

    well after that statement maybe you can't then. I just figured you could since you were able to with the earlier guitar heros. I have a guitar so I personally haven't tried with a controller.

    Don't think you can. It only lets me do mic unless I am missing something. When I try to do a guitar, it says I need a guitar controller.

    Both GH World Tour and GH Metallica do not allow you to use the controller as a guitar. You can only use the controller (with a headset) as a microphone to sing along.
