There are a few problematic issues but nothing that appears to serious/serious enough to slow your PC. How many programs do you have running at once? Time since last defrag? Amount of RAM installed?

For those entries I posted you will want to run Hijack This, and check the boxes next to those entries and then click the "fix checked entries" button.

Before you fix the entries, I would like you to look at the following entries:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BitTorrent DNA] "C:\Program Files\DNA\btdna.exe" - This is a valid program, but it is vunerable to remote hijack. Perhaps you can take a look at this and decide if you want to remove it or not.

O16 - DPF: {AF2E62B6-F9E1-4D4F-A10A-9DC8E6DCBCC0} (VideoEgg ActiveX Loader) - http://update.videoegg.com/Install/Windo...ggPublisher.exe - This is a valid entry, you don't have to fix it.

Also, after you have fixed the rest of the entries with HijackThis, please do the following:

Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, and remove the following programs (if present):

ShoppingReport
DNA

Then using Windows Explorer, please look for the following folders and delete them (if present):

C:\Program Files\ShoppingReport\
C:\Program Files\DNA\

Then post a fresh HijackThis log on here.

Please follow my instructions closely, if you have anything you don't understand, feel free to ask. It's best that you print out the instructions for later reference, we may need to reboot in between the fixing.

Update Java

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malicious sites can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update:

* Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4 and save it to your desktop.
* Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4...allows end-users to run Java applications".
* Click the "Download" button to the right.
* Read the License Agreement and then check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement". The page will refresh.
* Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save the file to your desktop.
* Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
* Go to Start > Control Panel, double-click on Add/Remove Programs and remove all older versions of Java.
* Check (highlight) any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
* Click the Change/Remove button.
* Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
* Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
* Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u4-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Clean your temporary files

Download ATF Cleaner.

*Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe.
* Under Main tab choose "Select All".
* Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser

Click Firefox and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Opera browser

Click Opera at the top and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

Click Exit to close the program.

Fix with HJT

Please reopen HijackThis and "Do a system scan only". Put a check next to the following entries:

Now please reboot into safe mode, to do this, restart the computer and click F8 tab continuously before windows starts loading. You should be given an option to boot in safe mode.

Go to Add/Remove Programs in control panel, and uninstall the following program:

ShoppingReport

Open Windows explorer, and search for the following folder:

C:\Program Files\ShoppingReport\

Delete the folder.

Reboot back into normal mode.

Do an online scan with Panda Activescan

Let's try an online scan to see if there are any infections. You will need IE to do the scan.

Go here

1. Click the Scan your PC button
2. A new window will open, click the Check Now button
3. Enter your Country, State/Province and e-mail address and click send
4. Select Home User
5. Click the Scan Now button
8. Allow any installation of ActiveX component(s)
9. It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a while)
10. When done, click on My Computer
11. When the scan completes, click the See Report button, then save it to desktop. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report on here.

Seems like you didn't complete my instructions. Did you download ATF Cleaner and cleaned your temporary files? Did you fix the entries I listed with HijackThis?

If you haven't, please do the following:

Clean your temporary files

Download ATF Cleaner.

*Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe.
* Under Main tab choose "Select All".
* Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser

Click Firefox and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Opera browser

Click Opera at the top and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

Click Exit to close the program.

Fix with HJT

Please reopen HijackThis and "Do a system scan only". Put a check next to the following entries:

Close all other windows/browsers and click "Fix checked". Close HJT.

Now please reboot into safe mode, to do this, restart the computer and click F8 tab continuously before windows starts loading. You should be given an option to boot in safe mode.

Go to Add/Remove Programs in control panel, and uninstall the following program:

ShoppingReport

Open Windows explorer, and search for the following folder:

C:\Program Files\ShoppingReport\

Delete the folder.

Reboot back into normal mode.
