won't work. you need the via 6421 chipset to read drives. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816132012
hey cee43 i used the adapter..it works my drive shows up..but when i go to dump its says cannot read from drive??its in mode b and everything?? any ideas??
Why not just spend $12 and get a Roswell SATA controller card that we all know works well. On Newegg the reviews even state that is works well for flashing 360 drives.
you know what im gonna do that..oh and i was trying to do it on my laptop..cant get it open so i tried with adapter.
Just make sure you have a PCMCIA port on your laptop. I bought so I can use my laptop and I thought I had this port but I don't. I'll sell you it if you need it. $15 shipped if you live in the US.
I originally used an adapter for flashing Hitachis but had never had luck with any other drive. mode b with slax disk
