ok i guess you don't since i just read the psFreedom wiki and I found the backup manager pkg on ps3Jailbreak site (smacks head)

too bad you can't go online...i would need an extra ps3

I've found a bunch of PS3 games in past couple of days, just haven't figured out how to get them on PS3.

Remember games that are on both 360 and PS3 usually max out around 8gb.. its the PS3 exclusives there are huge and time consuming.

 

If sony was smart they would NOT bring in an update that stuffs the jailbreak or the psgroove for at least a little while.. Allow larger sales of consoles then bang hit all updates in say two months time when everyone becomes comfortable that it cant be fixed..Aww sorry we've fixed the problem now everyone has to buy orig games again. Great money spinner for Sony

 

well it's already patched so this will end just like the jtag did. Who is going to upload a 25GB game?

 

You can Use PS3 FTP Server homebrew app to transfer them to the internal hdd.
@modking.. Lol looks Like Alot are willing to upload 25-50gb games..

 

as long as no one updates to 3.42 for now. there is a lil tool to get around the DNS so u can bypas the upgrade and get on PSN

 

Don't get me wrong, I hope people do. Problem is this won't last since it's patched

He seen these releases and I can also confirm that even I saw a few of them already on some websites, I think its drakes fortune that's about 21Gb's so people are very well uploading games of that size and I'm pretty sure a lot of others are downloading them as well. The internet is getting faster and hard drives are getting bigger and cheaper.

 

yeah just checked the usual sites. There goes the ratio LOL. Hopefully this mod will stick. I'd only want one for God of War!!!

That's pretty good, but you must have a premium account. How hard was the hack?

 

yep premium..lol its pretty easy if you have a CM6 froyo rom. they released a Update.Zip that u just flash over you 2.2 after a nandroid backup. then just plug it in the PS3 and use the hack steps.

it took about a hour to transfet the GOW3 to the internal hdd tho

 

If they get this running on an exteral it would be perfect. Be a pain to send a game and then have to delete it for the next one. Too bad 3.4.2 is already blocking this method too. Jtags on the xbox were fun for a short period, let's hope the ps3 isn't the same!

 

i got plenty of space i installed a 750gb hard drive in the ps3 a few months back. i also have a 1Tb external drive but i dont want to format it and loose a ton of dvd rips and 360 games.. external hdd with the ps3 backup manager.

 

I didn't know you could install an internal drive. Is there a hack for that? The mod doesn't work on externals right?

 

just take a 2.5" 750gb sata from ebay for $80. install it in the ps3 hdd caddy reinstall it in the ps3 turn on the ps3 and format the hdd. yes it works with external hdd too

 

hmm. But not all games will work on an external correct?
