I have the HTC Evo 4G, and it is what I use for this exploit (not your method, but another method). The Android phones capable of putting your PS3 into DEV-MODE are:

    HTC Evo 4G
HTC Hero (CDMA & GSM version)
    HTC Desire
    HTC Dream
    HTC G1
    HTC Sapphire
    HTC N1/Nexus 1
    HTC Incredible
    HTC Wildfire
    HTC Magic
    HTC Eris
    HTC Touch
    HTC HS2
    Moto Droid

No support for any of the Galaxy S's or any other Android devices yet.

I used Fresh Evo ROM for the HTC Evo, to boot PS3 into DEV-MODE with no bugs. From what I understand, there's a kernel made specifically for the Cyanogen ROM, that does not require flashing back and forth. Forgot what kernel it was as I don't really use releases of Cyanogen.

And good luck to those who want to play online. Sony will detect exploit and permanently ban your PS3's MAC address from access PSN.
