i found this interesting site that says you can use dx10 on xp and play vista games on xp. but not till late july http://www.fallingleafsystems.com/preorder/
No very possible, and old news. I reported this to the site a month or two back. This project was originally started by the Alky Project. And theres another thread just like this already in circulation... Heres the other thread discussing the same thing And heres a quote from the Alky Project page...
Then you would need a DX10 compatable card.... And I have AGP (sucks), anything you guys have seen about a DX10 AGP compatable gfx card?
I highly doubt it. AGP is slightly outdated now, and DX10 is brand new. The only cards I know of are the 8800 series and ATI's new card, the 2900 or something like that.
Basically, if you want DirectX 10 support you are going to need a motherboard that supports pci-express.
Im not really worried about dx10 yet, all I would really want it for is crysis, and crysis supports dx9c too, so I think I'll be allright. All I need is a new gfx card.... What do you guys think about this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814241049 I think I might buy this one, but since it runs really hot I might get an after market cooler for it.
