Halo 2 for PS2?

totally incomprehendable - must be an Xbox owner ;p

 

i don't mean to knitpick, but what's "didnity"?

 

Please don't tell me that this is where the English language is going. You know how we look back at Elizabethan English and see it as hard to comprehend? When we're looked back upon I won't blame them, not even we could understand ourselves.

 

Yeah, but what are you gonna do? some posts aren't understandable at all, but when you take notice, you wind up being the one insulted and described as "ignorant" or "stupid." when you try to explain what the laws of English grammar dictate in order for some general understanding of what the the original speaker was trying to say, you end up getting flamed by teenagers who think they are the new wave (note: i'm 17) and that "we're" old fools. it's very similar to the the piracy threads started then reported: when someone comes to take out the trash and ensure the rules of the forum are obeyed, they are bad-mouthed. then the people who speak English as a second language come in and show that they speak it better than the natives; shortly after, all Hell breaks loose. it's a downwards spiral, i'm beginning to believe.

 

PS2's graphics have never stopped surprising me.
When it first came out the graphics were ok to say the least, but now with games like Metal Gear Solid 3, I just can't believe they can make this machine do things like that.

 

there should be firmware upgrades for the ps2 that upgrade the graphics drivers, dvd drivers, etc. and the disk u have to buy from the store and its an original oressed disk from $ony.

 

whew...thank god someone is bringing us closer to the original point of this thread...maybe more meaningful contributions will be made (obviously not by the likes of me)...

i doubt that there will be firmware or driver updates for the ps2. they have never made them for any console as far as i know. the reason is that stability is absolutely crucial for consoles. as soon as driver changes, etc start to come into the console market, you've got compatibility and stability issues creeping in and you may aswell get a pc.
developers are good at working on a standard unchanging platform. they get to know it over the years and the limits of the technology get pushed all the way. when gamers demand more from games (and we always do) and the console can't deliver, the new console picks up from there and the cycle goes on.

 

metal gear graphics are cool, they don't compare to a pc game. besides metal gear isn't using a lot of colors on the screen at the same time and are replicating the samething over and over.

 

everyone on here that said Halo 2 isn't coming out for PS2 was wrong i have proof that it is coming out on PS2...scroll down until you see the pictures...there we go problem solved...oh yeah heres the link

the ps2 isn't even on

and I'm pretty sure that's a clear xbox to the right of th ps2, and I know those are ps2 cables plugged into the tv but the xbox ones are probably plugged into the back, my tv could do the exact same thing, they should have at least turned the ps2 on to make it a bit more believable

 

i was looking at that picture and notice that the ps2 in not on becuase it doesn't have the light of on and eject buttoms

 

Even with the light thing, its still obvious that its just a joke. It's on a joke article right next to "IGN was here." If it were true then it would be in the news everywhere, mentioned by Bungie officialy, and besides, they wouldnt have a working game for PS2 by now, that would be the greater part of a year off if it were true.
