OK HERE GOES HOP U CAN HELP i dl thje maps and followed the install instructions on here and every thing seems fine but when i boot my halo 2 disc ,,well it just wont boot atall..i deleted cache and the saVES and created a new save but just the same happens When i taske all the maps and updates etc off i t boots up fine# i even burned the awsk file to disc but on installation it just hangs... hope someone can help or give me a new url fior the files
When you install the maps, it will take a long time from the disc...it will look like it is hung up but really is trying to save a lot of information to the hard drive, just be patient. You also need to update your version of halo 2 to version 1.1. Simply clicking on autoupdate will not automatically update your halo 2 version (kinda sucks). After you install the autoupdate you will need to open up a file explorer of some sort and go into the e drive. Open up the tdata folder and look for a folder named 4d5300064 (it is something like that, just look for the 4d in the begining and the 64 at the end but I think its right). Then inside of that folder will be a folder labeled $c, open that up and you will see a folder labled ...update. Rename that folder to $u (yes that is a dollar sign not an S), and move the folder out of the $c folder and into the folder 4d53000064 that you were just in. So now inside of the 4d5300064 folder you should have a folder labeled $c and $u. Reset the xbox and you should be good to go. Hope that helps. -Brice
