halo 2 modding plz help

    Ok this is for modding halo 2. I have softmods. I only modded 1 map and thats backwash. I was wondering if i can play matchmaking still beacause backwash doesnt go into matchmaking or will i still get banned beacuse its on my xbox?

    I heard bungie can detect mods even though your not playing it.So thats why i dont want to try go into matchmaking, Is that true? I need to know so i dont get banned PLEASE ANSWER! anybody
