Confirmed by IGN.NET Halo 3 will be hitting stores spring 2006, in an attempt by Microsoft to wipe out heavy competitor Sony, with their launch of Playstation 3 (also Spring 2006). Sony may jump to launch their new system when Microsoft makes their launch of Xbox 360, to illeviate themselves of possible destruction in market sales. This being said do NOT, I repeat do Not jump to the conclusion, if PS3 does launch early, that PS3 is a better purchase due to game selection, as they may launch better games faster than Microsoft, you should stick to your roots and patiently wait Halo 3 out. As both systems will no doubtedly cost a fortune, it's a safer bet to stick with Xbox 360, as it holds the key to everyone's gaming fantasy HALO 3... Also there is now a signed deal with Universal and Fox that there will be Halo: The Movie, I'm sure we are all greatful that the kind, yet intelligent people at Universal and Fox alike would put out such an obvious, yet much needed addition to the Halo Legacy.
