Handbrake Help!

Hello, I am having enormous playback issues with Handbrake for windows...
is it normal to having serious gaps in playback?

its not working out too well for me so I joined the handbrake forum... unforunately upon registering I did not receive a confirmation email to my yahoo mail account and subsequent attempts to have this confirmation email resent have not worked! therefore, I cannot access the forum and I was hoping someone here was a member of the forum and could perhaps contact an admin for me! my username on that forum that i created is the same as is here...
