It insists I change the screen resolution., (it is 1024 x600,Handbrake wants 720 at least). But if I do, a vital Handbrake button will probably be off screen, and I won't be able to get to it. Anybody tweaked Handbrake to work with netbook letterbox shaped displays ? (I have an Atom 1.6G and 160G HD, so it would have room to move)
That's the great thing about open source. Had exactly the same problem, but guess what, someone already tweaked it (not me). Here Handbrake is tweaked using a simple scrollbar to get everything on your small resolution netbook screen: http://hammycorp.com/handbrake/index.html Credits go to Hammycorp. NOTE: Netbooks CPUs are not geared towards encoding tasks. Thus, it will process very slowly. Before deciding to complain about the speed at Hammycorp or Handbrake, realize.. slow IS normal.
