Yeah I fried 3 thats right count 'em THREE hard drives totaling 208Gigs. I wasnt trying to tho. I was wondering if anyone knows where it's possible to obtain a new circuit board for a hard drive. The manufacturers don't do that, so thats eliminated. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No only the external was fried cause it was seperated from the rest of the hard drive at the time of the "incident". Odds are too low for garage sales. I saw some hard drive circuit boards for hard drives on ebay so good odds there, and what kind of stores sell used computer parts? I haven't come across any yet. And it was my stupidity that fried the boards...long story and too emberassing to tell hehe.

try electronic surplus stores. active surplus in toronto was good for that type of stuff back in the 80's & 90's.
