    Hi, I have a problem with my hard disk, well not realy a problem but an annoyence.

    When I got my PC with its standard hard disk, it worked fine and when I left it on it would stay nice and quite, as in it would not go crazy for no reason.

    But now when I am working it runs smooth, but when I leave my comp alone after like five minutes the hard disk starts to work up, and starts to work doing something unbeknown to me, like you know when you install a big program the hard disk might work up installing the thing and making the usual Grrrrr or bssshhh sound well mine does that when I leave it alonoe for five minutes and continues to do so for like ages and doesnt stop until I move my mouse then it stays relatively calm.

    Here are the processes I have running during a normal run;
    ScreenShot One

    ScreenShot 2

    I didnt go through your entire process list, but make sure you have done a full adware (Ad-Aware) and spyware (SpyBot Search & Destroy) scan before you do anything else. Do both of them in safe mode. Post back any results you may have. Sounds like you have a bug or something.

    Does it realy sound like there is a bug?

    I will do what you said but, I recently posted a HjT log and it was stated as clean.

    But I will do as you say :)

    Kind Regards, BluRay

    Um sorry to say but I have no IDEA how to save a log file of a search on Spybot SD I know how to do so on Ad Aware though.

    This might help I run SPYBOT SD In default mode.
