hard drive got submerged trying to recovery data please help

my computer got submerged underwater power takes, loads , checks hardware but after so long becomes unstable before can veiw data thanks for any and all help

im trying to get the info off my old hard drive that was submerged underwater important info on it but it is unstable; when i hook it up . trying to get the info to another hd or jdrive anything

Get yourself another Hard Drive and install an operating system, once you get it running connect the submerged Hard Drive as a slave or via a USB enclosure and see if you can get the info off the Hard Drive. Was it fresh or salt water that it was submerged in, fresh is bad saltwater is worse. I've heard that you can soak it in some sort of solvent that will absorb the water (perhaps metho, or pure alcohol(not whisky))and then not leave any residue. Good luck with it. Let us know how you get on.
