hi all just a quick question, i have a acer laptop which has 2 32gig hard drives the first has all the programs and windows on and the second i have transfered all my files(music, videos, pictures, downloads etc) onto to save space on the c drive but for some reason the c drive keeps filling up and leaving no space. i have run cleaners, deleted unused programs but dont know how to free up anymore space and dont know how it keeps filing up. i went through most of the files on the drive and cant find out where the 32 gig has gone can anyone shed a bit light on this problem for me cheers in advance glen
why not install bigger hard drives. look in your program files folder for a folder called hotbar as it might be full of shoppers reports. happened with a customer with about 30gigs of shoppers reports had to delete as she only had 4.5meg free out of a 40gig hd.
hi ddp going to buy new drive but looking for quick fix till then, no hotbar in program files any other ideas please cheers Glen
goto windows explorer not internet explorer, goto tools tab & select folder options. goto view tab, look at advanced settings, goto hidden files & folders & select "Show hidden files & folders". hit apply then ok. now do a properties on each folder on the hard drive to see what size it is as that is what i did when looking for the missing 30gigs of hd space.
