i have two hard drives and the second drive does not show full capicty . it shows 31.4 out of 120 gb. can some one help me out. i have updated to the latest bios. thanks in advance
my other hard drive is 80 gb and motherboard is abit sg-80 with celeron 2.93 (d or prescott???) with windows xp.
If I were you set the hard drives to cable select. I had the same problem when I did it it showed 120 gig on both drives
sp2 is downloading right now. had to reinstall xp. but even before that drive was not showing full capicity
what drives are on what cables & what are the jumper configuration as master, slave or cable select? what does the bios see the drive as? don't worry about sp2 as that is not the problem as i use win98se with a wd 160gig partitioned as 40gig for c: & 120gig for d:
check your jumper settings on the HD as i have a 120gig that gives you the option to limit the capacity to 30gig by setting the jumpers. if this is the case theres nothin at all wrong with the hd. just put the settings rite and youll be free to roam the full 120gs
