I need help i have now an empty hard drive for a dell dimension and now i need to install windows xp on it but its blank and i downloaded xp from the internet and i tried making a bootable cd but it said it was copy write protected so does anyone out there know wat i can do to install windows xp or copying it from another hard drive or something
Why did you try making a bootable cd? Guaranteed way to screw it right up.... It will be in .iso format.. just burn it like any other disk image.
i downloaded off some utorrent thing but i did burn it as a regular cd but it still didnt show up when i tried booting it off the cd-rom
