hard drive question

    hi. anyone know if i could use the 500gb maxtor hard drive which has a sata 300 interface, serial ata - 7 pin.this is a fairly new drive.i didn`t see it on the ps2 hard drive compatibility chart site.i`d like to know if that interface would work on my ps2 before i purchase it.the model # is L01F500 by maxtor.thanks.

    im not sure if its compatible but keep in mind that the bigger the hd you get the slower your ps2 becomes.

    thanks for getting back to me.i got a maxtor 200gb drive which runs great.but i`m running out of room.you, or you know of someone with a large hd makes reading or running the games slow it down.i didn`t realize that.

    Lets make this clear: PS2 IS NOT SATA COMPATIBLE. End of story. :p

    Will a seagate 160GB 7200RPM ata133 work with a 500001 ps2 with a ethernet and modem network adapter?
