    than might be worth buying than at that price if got 1yr warranty

    im a "neat freak" so i dont need warranty, just tell me if u can get a better deal (remember in montreal city)

    Forget the warranty for a moment, but if the HDD fails, and your data is gone, then how good a price is it? How are you going to feel after all your programs, etc, are lost? If it isn’t any big deal then might be the way to go. But if you are going to go nuts when you lose everything, email, data, pics, mpegs, then maybe worth a second thought.

    Why refurbished in the first place would be my question?

    Can’t you purchase online from Newegg.com?

    1 yr is standard on most new drives like maxtor, so if 1 yr on the refurb drive than go for it as more space than a 40gig at the same price with the same warranty
