hi guys, i want to know if switching the hard drive from the xbox to a 60gig hd is as easy as unplug-switch-and plug in the new one? is there anything else I have to do? will it just simply accept the new hard drive?? thank u guys!!

1st, you should backup your old drive thru ftp to your pc. then, I think when you install the new drive run the evo disc and evo will give you an option to install a new drive. that will setup the partitions and stuff. then you can put your files back onto the xbox

evox wont set up a new drive for you as far as i know (could be wrong, but i've never seen it in any version that i've run). you'll need to use slayers auto installer to do the new drive. just get slayers, make an iso and burn it to a cdrw then boot from it. it will set up all the partitions and install evox and all the apps you'll need. it's a great program, only takes a few minutes. and yes, make sure you backup your entire factory xbxo drive before you do anything.

I'm not reccomending this but when I installed my 120G with slayers, I didn't back it up first because I couldn't get my FTP working. It worked fine without any problems. The auto install gave me 107.00 for games and the rest went to the other partitions (media player)
