I just put a new computer together but using existing hard drives. I have a WD 60g and WD 80g. OS is xp pro. Found 60g as master (C drive)80g is shown in device manager but not in My Computer. Start up shows both, bois shows both. 60g is set to master on jumper and 80g is set to slave. but will not show both drives.

Do this. Go to start then control panel. Switch to classic view and then click adminstrative tools. Click computer management. Then scoll down to disk management. There ya should see the drive. Now just format it by clicking the drive. Then right click and then left click on format. Now ya good to go and dont do nothing when its formatiing. Now it should show up in my computer.
