+ Hard Drive

    Here is the scenario, I have a bunch of old computers in my basement (not that old) and I im running low on memory of my current hard drive, Can I possibly add the hard drive from my old one to my new one (there is a space for it) I've already take apart the old one and took the HD out...just letting ya know

    Yea i cant c a problem with that as long as yiou have a spare bit on the cable, and spare slot or could just put in a case and have it as an external hdd.

    I wish I can put it on my newer cpu (its a dell dimension 2400) I cant see how to open it...GRRR...well I put it in my older cpu until I can find a way to put in my dimension 2400. At least I know what im doing now...

    Don't forget to set your second hd as a secondary (slave) drive. The label will show you the jumper settings for that.

    Food for thought. If your Dell is under warranty, I wouldn't go opening the case!!
