i have a 80gb harddrive i want to upgrade to something larger such as 150gb or even 200gb drive.i have an ata ultra drive.Does anyone know how i can find out information about how big i can go without upgrading my bios???any website or information would be great...thankx
what are the specs on your computer than will tell you but as you have an 80gig & hopefully sees all 80gig than should be alright

system wise you are alright as i have about the same system & will be putting a 160gig hd in mine. the only problem you might have that i will is the windows version, i'm using win98se which supposedly has a problem past 120gig but planning to partition into 2x80gig. if you are using xp than no problem once you have sp1 or 2 loaded

harddrive wise maybe in the terrabytes but you'll have a new computer before that time. teach & learn!!

It's asking me to format, and I don't really want to because its for my ps2 and i'm transfering a game onto it. Is there any way of getting around the formating?
