Harddrive Question

    ok im going to go get a new hd for my xbox right now i got 40 gigs and i wanna know if i can get the xbox to support 200 gigs just curious cuz i dont wanna waste my money on a 200 gig if all i can get it to reed is 130
    i have evox dashboard and m8_16 bios

    thanx for any help in advance

    People have HDD that go to 300GB and more (internal and external). It all depends what you want. Oh and be sure that the bios you are using supports Hard drives larger than 137GB. To accomplish this, use the evtool for your specific bios and change the LBA48.

    thanx man really appriciate the info got another question though i have m8_16 Bios where can i find the evtool for this bios

    google search evtool. Version 1.0.9 is the one you want

    thanx man this place is great if itr wasent for this forum i would still be playin with my old xbox and spendin an arma and a leg for games again you guys are great

    ok got the evtool 1.0.9 is there a guide or can sombody point me in the right direction i bout a 200 gig and its only reading 130

    open the bios evtool...there should be a option for lba48

    it is simple...you can also change the flubber colors around in there if you want.

    ok i open evtool and then open m8_16 Bios set so that partition 6 takes rest of drive and now what do i do

    save the new bios...then reflash your chip

    whoo hoo you are the man thanx a bunch it worked wnt from 130 to 195
    this is the best site ever i just joined here in feb and ive been recamending this site to all my friends ever since you guys are great
