I guess this is the forum to post this at so anyways. My modded XBOX doesn't work anymore but it has a really nice hardrive in it that still works. Is it possible to move that hardrive to my PC. I run windows XP and have a terrible hardrive on it, so I really want to get it in here. If I can do this then could someone walk me through it?
Is your hard drive locked or un-locked? And what exactly is wrong with your current modded system? You are aware many sites offer repair services to fix no functioning modded units, right?
I'm not sure if it's locked or unlocked (how can I find out?), and I've tried to fix the XBOX on my own numerous times and the latest one has uncovered that I need to sauder a piece of metal on and it just hasn't happened yet, so I figured if it's going to go to waste I might as well use the HD.
There are companies that offer to fix soldering work for ~ $49 + return shipping... Your xbox wouldnt goto waste if that was the case. The only way to really tell if your drive is unlocked is if you get the XBOX working again, or if you try to put it in your PC and on boot up the BIOS Recoginzes it and so does windows.
