also a piece of cake with beta AnyDVD 6.0.8.9 ripper

    link
    http://sandbox.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD6089.exe

    quote james
The "Aggressive I/O Mode" is now very different from what it has been before, and should hopefully satisfy everybody. It should behave like 6.0.8.2 with the additional features of 6.0.8.5/ 6.0.8.8 (New Dell computers / SATA / RAID users can use 1-click & Co., full 64-bit support, better Vista support, ...)
(Alan, this should answer the question why the I/O code was changed in the first place )

    Here is the complete changelog:

    6.0.8.9 2006 11 28
    - New: Runs under VirtualPC on PowerPC MACs
    - Change: "Aggressive I/O Mode" is less "aggressive", hopefully fixes problems
    some users are having
    - Change: Clicking "Default" no longer resets "Aggressive I/O Mode" setting
    - Fix: DEP error on Windows Vista

Easily backed up mine with AnyDVD (6.0.8.8) & CloneDVD 2. About 20 minutes from start to perfect back-up. Played back perfect too!

i'll be buying this movie on Monday and if DVD Shrink alone can't handle it, i'll use the awesome DVDFab Decrypter (free) followed by DVD Shrink. there really is no problem with all the latest movies as long as you use the latest updates of DVDFab Decrypter or AnyDVD

absolutely, and the same applies for some other films that are out here tomorrow, ie Nacho Libre and Over the Hedge. i truly can't see why there are sooo many threads for most new films when some of us have zero problems with the same tools (free and non-free) that everyone else uses. wierd.

you hit the nail right on the head, Creaky! Maybe the newbies can't understand how to follow the guides?! or what? but since I joined AfterDawn..... I have very seldom had any problems what so ever! Since I started burning with Taiyo Yuden, or Verbatim media I have had NO problems. Only time I had a problem was when I bought a new external and my firewire wouldn't accept the drive as a LightScribe.... switched it out to a USB and problem solved! that was the last problem I ever had! Hell, even my Nero and Roxio are coexisting! ahhahahahahahahahaa

I can only remember having troubles with 2 movies... The Cave and Grandmas boy... discovered afterdawn.... listened to other members and did what they said... solved all my problems, but you have to "want" to learn I guess?

Superman returns a piece of cake use dvdfab platinum 3040 no problems backing up the whole dvd with it. Surprising nothing special in the way of protection of such a major release, monster house was more trouble than superman heh.
