Has anyone recently used Nero PhotoShow Elite?

Just purchased Nero Ultra Edition from Softwareoutlet.com for $24.00 plus shipping & handling - basically to be used in conjunction with DVD shrink. Anyway, I was playing around with the other options and thought the photoshow express was a great idea with the music and add-ons. Although it will allow you to put your picture show on a CD, it will only display the pictures. I can do this without any special software. I was hoping that the upgrade to Nero PhotoShow Elite would allow me to burn the picture show onto DVD's including the music and specials to send to my family members. However, I am afraid that they want you to use their service and order your shows on DVD's thru them at $14.95 or whatever. Has anyone used the photoshow elite? Can you burn your own shows onto DVD'S? Can you load your own music into your shows or do you have to use the music provided?
I emailed Nero but have gotten no response. I was hoping that someone in this forum has already used the software. Thanks.

Sorry about this but just got a review from PCmag's web site concerning Nero's Photoshow Elite and it stated and I quote "Unfortunately, if your goal is creating discs to play on a DVD player (either DVDs or Video CDs), your options are limited. The program can't produce DVD or even Video CD titles with audio, a frustrating limitation. And even when creating slide shows for computer-based playback, you can't sync slide duration to background music or add pan-and-zoom effects." I hope this quote isn't against the rules. I copied and pasted from: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1651419,00.asp

When I found this out I figured I might as well answer my own question in hopes that if someone else is interested. PCmag recommends ArcSoft DVD SlideShow 1.0. Not sure if I will buy but it sounds like it has all the features I was looking for. Its a shame that Nero didn't plan a little better in their creation of their PhotoShow Elite to properly service their customers. Oh well. I will keep u all posted, as to what I purchase and my review.
