i have modded my xbox everything works fine but i used the m8 v16 67 blue bios off the slayer 2.6 cd when i boot the power light turns from green to red and the fan seems to run a little faster but everything works fine. when i boot the m8 v16 06 official bios is stays green i do not notice and increase in fan speed but i loose drive g. my question is does the solid red power light indicate a problem even though everything is working fine. i am using the spice mod kit and chip and i have a xbox 1.6
the red light: you can edit that option in the bios, so my guess would be that the bios you obtained was edited for the eject/power light to be red. fan speed: this can also be edited in the bios, so again the bios you have has prolly been edited...it is a good idea to increase the fan speed of a modded xbox...they run much hotter with the chip on, that is why most people upgrade their fans or do the 12v fan mod. as for your no g drive problem...check your evox settings and make sure it is enabled, if it is you will need to edit the bios for f to take 137 and g take the rest...you can use evtool to edit the m8 bios's...if you do edit, just save it and reflash your chip.
