Has anyone tried the copy of Fallout 3 that leaked?

In the comments section of every tracker out there that has it are people who have tried it. From what I've read apart from the people bellyaching about it being a seed4me release they are positive.

 

Thanks. I hadn't bothered checking any torrent trackers because I got it from Usenet.

I also get a headache reading unfiltered comments about whether a release works/will get you banned from Live/may kill you pets while you're sleeping unless you unplug your ethernet cable.

 

I've actually played it, and it does work! The version on newsgroups (I don't know if it's the same as torrents) had to be repaired, because all the rar's were missing blocks.

It probably wasn't the smartest idea to play it already, because it's a Seed4Me, which haven't been that reliable, and it doesn't disconnect you from Xbox Live when playing it! Just keep that in mind!

 

Game is sick and eh dont really care about being banned if it happens it happens. So far so good. And I didnt know how heartless I was until I killed a man just to wear his sunglasses haha.

 

you jerk...go buy your own shades, lol. perhaps ill have to 'obtain' this guy to see if its worthwhile, but ill have to wait until saturday so im not using my net to get it.

 

All I can say is, IT'S a HARD GAME! I mean it seems just like Oblivion, only it's in the future days, and it's hard!

 

Does it still have a difficulty slider like in Oblivion? I set mine between the lowest and middle heh.

 

Yes it has that! I mean I put mine to easy, and then found out there was a Very Easy. I put it on that, and I'm still struggling. Because you're basically trying to survive, and you've only got so little ammo. The controls for the Gun is something to get used to.

 

Guys, I'm having trouble burning the game! Anyone knows how to repair the iso???

Um i wouldnt repair it Id download it from somewhere else. They should have posted a fixed download tho for it. And wabashman the suit is sooo worth it haha

I actually feel guilty for playing the game early, especially when Bethesda is doing all of this! It was never like this when GTA4 was released 2 weeks before release... Sorry Bethesda!

 

yeah I am about 1 hour into it and so far it has been pretty boring... I hope it gets better or it won't get any play once Dead Space comes out....

 

This kinda game isnt for everyone. You have to have an appreciation for tactical indepth games to be able to enjoy this one. Its not ur bang bang bang Call of duty. So if you got A.D.D maybe you shouldnt pick this one up. And as far as feeling bad for playing it ealry I wouldnt because I know im gona pay for the game when it comes out and Bestheda shouldnt care to much because the game is being enjoyed and embraced the way they made it to be. So what if its out a few days before the launch date. Its not gona hurt them any.

 

Whats the ban situation? If i download my backup and play it before i buy the actual game then when i go to play it on live does it record the achievements saves and such the date i got them and then ban me. Also i have been hearing that seed4me is m$ is disguise trying to look at people ip and such i dont really belive that but i would like to hide my ip when is downloading torrents or atlest be safer, any tips?

If u wana be safe unplug ur live while ur on it and u should be fine. But me and all my friends just leave live on when we play and so far we havnt had n e trouble *knock on wood* lol

 

Ya even if you unplug from Live, your 360 still logs when you played the game, and when you got the achievements! Once you plug back into Xbox Live, they can see that information! It's basically never safe to play a game before it's released. And this one isn't a few days before launch... It's 3 weeks early!

 

date of achievements aren't logged offline. -> that's why any achievement you get offline just says achieved on the xbox and on xbox[dot]com

even if they were whats to stop you from pushing the time/date forward a week so as not to worry about it??

they look for modifications to the drive etc. etc., from what i hear it's not looking for who gets games early. cuz lets face it, every kid that works in a game store probably busts that shit out right when it arrives, why would they want to wait till retail release? they can just ring it up later after the release.
